Island Comfort HVAC was founded in 2009 by James Andresen with a simple idea: show up when you say you will, charge what you quoted, and do the job right the first time. 17 years later, that has not changed.
We started as a two-man crew running out of a single van in Mineola. Today we have 18 NATE-certified technicians, a fleet of fully stocked service vehicles, and over 3,200 completed projects across Nassau and Suffolk County. We are a Carrier Factory Authorized Dealer and Lennox Premier Dealer, but we install and service all major brands.
Every system we install gets a final walkthrough from James personally. Every repair call gets a written quote before we turn a wrench. Every customer gets our direct office number, not a call center. That is what “we answer our own phone” means.

How We Work
Show Up on Time
If we say 8 AM, we are there at 7:50. Our dispatch confirms every appointment the morning of. No waiting around for a four-hour window.
Written Quotes, No Surprises
Every estimate comes with line items. Equipment, labor, materials, permits. The price we quote is the price you pay. If something changes, we call you first.
Clean Up Every Night
Our crews clean up at the end of every work day. No debris in your yard, no tools on your floor. You should not be able to tell we were there, except for the new equipment.
Honest Recommendations
If your system can be repaired for $400, we will tell you. We do not push replacements on systems that have life left. When replacement makes sense, we will show you why with numbers.
