Cost & Pricing

How much does central air installation cost on Long Island?

Central AC installation on Long Island typically costs $5,500 to $12,500. The price depends on your home size, existing ductwork condition, equipment tier (standard vs high-efficiency), and electrical requirements. We provide free in-home estimates with a written quote that includes every line item.

How much does a new furnace cost?

Gas furnace installation runs $4,200 to $9,800 on Long Island. A standard efficiency unit (80% AFUE) is at the lower end, while a high-efficiency condensing furnace (96%+ AFUE) with variable speed is at the higher end. Includes removal of old unit, new venting, and thermostat.

Are there rebates for heat pump installation?

Yes. PSEG Long Island offers rebates for qualifying heat pump systems. Federal tax credits (25C) can provide up to $2,000 for heat pump installation. We help our customers identify and apply for all available rebates and credits.

Do you offer financing?

We offer 0% financing for up to 18 months through our approved lending partners. Longer terms are available at competitive rates. The application takes about 10 minutes and we handle all the paperwork.

Installation Process

How long does HVAC installation take?

Most residential installations take 1 to 2 days. A straightforward AC or furnace replacement can be completed in a single day. Systems requiring new ductwork, heat pump conversion, or multi-zone mini splits may take 2 to 3 days.

Do I need to be home during installation?

We recommend being home at the start and end of each work day. You do not need to be present the entire time. Our crews are background-checked, insured, and experienced working in occupied homes.

Will you pull permits?

Yes. We handle all permits required by Nassau and Suffolk County for HVAC installation. Permit costs are included in our quotes. We also schedule the required inspections.

What happens to my old equipment?

We remove and properly dispose of all old equipment, including refrigerant recovery per EPA regulations. Disposal is included in every installation quote.

Equipment & Brands

What brands do you install?

We are a Carrier Factory Authorized Dealer and Lennox Premier Dealer. We also install Trane, Rheem, Mitsubishi (ductless systems), Goodman, and Daikin. We recommend the best brand for your specific situation and budget.

Should I repair or replace my HVAC system?

As a general rule: if your system is under 10 years old and the repair is under $1,000, repair makes sense. If it is over 15 years old, needs frequent repairs, or uses R-22 refrigerant, replacement is usually the better investment. We will always give you an honest recommendation.

What is the difference between a heat pump and a furnace?

A furnace burns gas to create heat. A heat pump moves heat from the air (or ground) and can both heat and cool your home. Heat pumps are more energy-efficient but may need backup heat during extreme cold. Many Long Island homeowners use a heat pump with a gas furnace backup (dual fuel system).

What is a mini split and when should I get one?

A ductless mini split is an AC and heating system that does not require ductwork. It consists of an outdoor unit and one or more wall-mounted indoor units. Perfect for room additions, converted garages, finished basements, and older homes without existing ductwork.

Maintenance & Repair

How often should I service my HVAC system?

We recommend servicing your system twice a year: once in spring (AC tune-up) and once in fall (heating tune-up). Regular maintenance prevents breakdowns, extends system life by 5 to 10 years, and keeps your warranty valid.

Do you offer 24/7 emergency service?

Yes. We provide 24/7 emergency HVAC service across Nassau and Suffolk County. If you have no heat in winter or no cooling during a heat wave, call us anytime. Emergency calls are handled by our own technicians, not a call center.

What does your maintenance plan include?

Our annual maintenance plan includes spring AC tune-up and fall heating tune-up. Each visit covers: filter replacement, coil cleaning, refrigerant check, electrical inspection, thermostat calibration, and safety testing. Plans start at $149/year and include priority scheduling and 15% off repairs.
